Beer & Charcuterie & Cheese

Valley Cellar Door

The Valley Cellardoor holds numerous Wine & Cheeses Masterclasses throughout the year, all hosted by one of Australia's leading wine educators Jenny Polack aka 'wine whitch', this time around we have teamed up with Bridge Rd Brewers and will swap the wine for beer.

Bridge Road Brewers was founded in 2005 by Ben Kraus and his wife Maria in their home town of Beechworth. The brewery has been operating for almost 12 years and is still a family owned operation. They prefer to create beer from scratch, using their own production equipment on their own site in their home town.

For the event, The Valley Cellardoor are proud to be showcasing Bridge Road Brewers finest Farmhouse Ales from the Chevalier and Mayday Hills range.

Mayday Hills is a farmhouse beer project from Bridge Road Brewers. These beers are fermented in traditional wooden Foeder tanks and reflect our township and the surrounding region. Mayday Hills.   This project has been inspired by a range of influences and experiences from around the globe and at home. Initially from wine and wine making 15 years ago, then through the exposure to wild beer and barrel aging programs of Belgium, and further through new practices in the US craft beer industry and our own experimentation at Bridge Road Brewers.   Mayday hills aims to combine these experiences with local ingredients and influences in the creation of new and unique beer from our brewery in Beechworth.

Wine and cheese matching is old hat. This sit down, fun session will match Bridge Road’s superb beers with a carefully chosen selection of fine cheeses and charcuterie.
